Behind The Wings: Inside The 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Victoria’s Secret features dozens of models in its annual show but only anoints a select few Angels retained on contract per year. The company doles out seven-figure deals to its longtime Angels, while it is believed that newer signees command far lower sums. But the exposure generated by the fashion show, which is watched more than all other fashion shows combined, gives its models a gravitas they can translate into other lucrative contracts.

The Angel Life: How To Make It As A Victoria’s Secret Model
Before they can walk in the show, models must undergo rigorous auditions that ensure they not only look unnaturally fit but also embody the brand’s girl-next-door persona. In hair and makeup, these hyper-friendly characters posed for selfies and discussed their workout regimes with effusive enthusiasm.

“I shoot a lot of swimwear and underwear so I’m pretty much ready but for the show I do tend to eat a little cleaner, I cut out sugar and alcohol,” said Josephine Skriver, a 22-year-old Danish model who has walked in two previous Victoria’s Secret shows. “I have an amazing trainer–he whips my ass,” Skriver smiled, as a pedicurist lacquered her toenails with a second coat. Soon after, the models were ushered off for final outfit adjustments ahead of the night’s display.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: A $50 Million Catwalk
Front-row for the evening was Kris Jenner, scion of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, who looked resplendent in a red, green and blue sequin Balmain number. Jenner has steered the reality TV family to multimillion earnings–Kim Kardashian banked $52.5 million this year, while Kendall earned $4 million to join the world’s highest-paid models ranking. Flanked by model Tyson Beckford and seated just in front of The Roots’ Questlove, Jenner screamed Kendall’s name when she appeared in her first “Boho Pyschedelic” look, which included a “very sexy lace and fishnet strappy ring-back thong” according to the show’s handouts.

The show may have opened with Angel Behati Prinsloo, but Jenner’s appearance rendered the crowd’s first eruption of cheer beyond polite clapping. That was bested when Adriana Lima appeared. A Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000, Lima has the lingerie deal to thank for a chunk of her $9 million yearly earnings, which make her the world’s second-highest-paid model behind former Victoria’s Secret Angel Gisele Bundchen. Now 34, Lima is the brand’s grand dame, and its fans respond to her with aspirational adoration.
As she strode down the catwalk in dusty pink underwear to a live soundtrack provided by British singer Ellie Goulding, the woman beside me practically jumped out of her seat in excitement. (She and her attorney partner had flown in from Florida for the event; their friend was one of the organizers.) Lima paused at the end of the runway and raised her hands up like an arena touring musician, as if to say “Come on!”
The audience obeyed her request, applauding the revolving menu of underwear, wings, and unbelievably long legs. It was a trip down the rabbit hole of excess: From hippy-inspired looks to butterfly-adorned bras, next came Swarovski crystal body suits and a song by The Weeknd. A swaggering Michael Jackson wannabe, The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, delivered a far more assured performance than that of fellow musical guest Selena Gomez, who seemed slightly nervous during her rendition of “Hands To Myself.” (Editing will undoubtedly correct it by the time the show airs.)
Inside The Earnings Of Taylor Swift’s Girl Gang
An outfit that could have been a ”sexy snowboarder” Halloween costume included an embroidered puffer jacket unzipped to show a push up bra. A pair of reflective goggles rested atop flowing locks. Fake snow in the form of cellophane shreds rained onto the audience as they clapped. Next up: Sporty little pieces from their PINK USA collection which included a neoprene wetsuit and bikini suitable for a “sexy surfer.”

Finally, the finale: Fireworks. Not literal fireworks, but rather a lingerie series that included LED wings and a $2 million Fireworks Fantasy Bra created by billionaire jewelry makers Mouawad. With diamonds, blue topaz and yellow sapphires set in 18 karat gold, the hefty bra was symbolic of the show: over the top, flashy and fantastical.
The Weeknd reemerged to perform his chart-topping “Can’t Feel My Face” and a clan of rowdy men in suits took to their feet. Soon the whole audience was standing and cheering. In front of me, an excited Dad and his college-going daughter clutched each other. And then the entire cast reemerged, striding down the catwalk in pairs before breaking into brief long-legged dances.

Just like that, the lights went out and guests teetered to the exit, shaking the plastic snow from their hair. Behind me, Magic Johnson’s daughter, Elisa, hotfooted it for an awaiting car.
Outside, rapper Tyga looked for his driver in the drizzling New York night. “Over here,” a burly bodyguard shouted, gesturing down the block.

Behind The Wings: Inside The 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Big hair, bejeweled bras and bionic abs–last night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a spectacle of hyperbole to rival the inhuman verticality of the underwear brand’s push-up bras. Forty-seven models decked out in 75 different looks strutted the catwalk in front of a star-studded crowd that included Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, who came to support 20-year-old model daughter Kendall in her Victoria’s Secret debut.
Like all good fashion shows, the event started 45 minutes late. Hairspray and air kisses hung thick in the large hall at New York’s 69th Regiment Armory, where the show’s 2,000 guests sipped champagne, preened for selfies and adjusted their sequin shifts. A soundtrack that included Bon Jovi’s “Living On A Prayer” and Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” blasted through the dimly lit room, which was divided in two by a lengthy white catwalk. At one end, grizzled photographers huddled together, waiting to compete for the impending model money shot.

BATHING

Before you start reading this, well, you've already started anyway, . .but before you go on, walk to a mirror, and look in it. . .
.   . . .. . . . .. . . .. . . . .. . . . . . .. . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . .. . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
If you didn't just either smile /frown and think ''who is this idiot that has nothing to write'',. . lol, i sound like that tho.
well, in the mirror, is a person. . . you..  .covered in skin. .(well, clothes at the moment,. . (except you were reading this naked. . hehe) )
Well, if you took off  the clothes, skin is what you see. . face, arms, legs, . . all skin.
Now, the skin, just like every other thing in life, should be properly taken off.
You might want to think "I,put on clothes most of the time, so since my face is what people see, it is the most important part to take care off " I tell you my friend, that thought is highly stupid, stinking, and should be flushed down the toilet. Infact, if you're thinking that, it means you just washed your face this morning, and,. . . you should probably go and take a shower now before you continue.
The skin covers all the internal parts of our body that keep us alive. It also helps keep our body system in its correct functioning state, as . . well, we sweat through pores on it. So, in essence, the whole skin should be treated as if it were gold. Following that, if you don't bathe well and adequately,. . . .. . . .. you probably shouldn't be reading this. . .
okay okay okay okay,. . you can stay,. . .i'll teach you.

BATHING shouldn't be seen as some sort of morning ritual, It should be seen as something you do because you need to, to be as clean as you can possibly be before the day starts, possibly during it, and before it ends.
You don't just turn on the shower and run a soapy sponge all around your body.
In bathing, you treat the skin as. . .em,. . let's say a car. A brand new ferrari that you're about to take to a party, and so needs to be as clean as a light bulb ( a clean light bulb..hehe )
You can't really see the dirt on your skin most of the time , so, You've gat to picture them. Imagine theme and clean them out. come out of the bathroom feeling clean.
And yh, that doesn't mean you should use the sponge to tear off your skin. just saying. . .
One more thing before i end this and your wait for the next one begins,  . . Try to observe the hairs on your Personal Areas. If it ain't looking nice, if it itches, if it looks like you've got dreadlocks down there or in ur armpit,. . get a shaver. . mhm.
